LBLD is a lighting design studio founded in 2014 by Luciana Borgatello, an architect who graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at UNC, specializing in Visual Environment and Efficient Lighting (MAVILE) at the Institute for Light, Environment, and Vision Research of the National University of Tucumán and CONICET. With additional training from the Lighting Research Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Elisava Institute in Barcelona, Luciana has developed a solid career that combines an understanding of architectural spaces with the implementation of innovative and efficient lighting solutions. Throughout her career, Luciana has participated in projects of various scales, allowing her to establish connections with both national and international lighting manufacturers. This experience keeps her constantly updated in an ever-evolving industry, enabling her to select the most suitable lighting solutions for each project, without commercial constraints. As a member of the Argentine Lighting Association (AADL) and the Argentine ambassador for the Women in Lighting collective, she is dedicated to advancing lighting as an integral discipline in architectural design. At LBLD, the focus is on developing lighting projects that highlight the architecture, complementing spaces without overshadowing them. The studio also specializes in the development of technical drawings and thorough documentation to ensure that every project is executed with precision, from the design phase to construction, guaranteeing a result that reflects the original vision.
