The Three Gardens House by AGi architects explores the possibility of crafting a home that thrives in outdoor spaces 365 days a year, despite Kuwait's extreme weather. Through intelligent design and a profound understanding of the region’s climate, the architects successfully created three distinct garden spaces that balance functionality, comfort, and beauty.
The residence showcases an innovative approach to layering outdoor spaces, challenging conventional notions of how a home can integrate the outdoors with its interior in an environment dominated by intense heat. The project asked a crucial question: Can an outdoor space be designed to work all year round? In moderate climates like Spain’s, this is a fairly straightforward task, but in Kuwait, where summers are sweltering and winters chilly, such a challenge demanded entirely new strategies.
