The Federal University of Ceará and the Ceará chapter of the Institute of Architects of Brazil are conducting a national public competition for architecture, urbanism and landscape design. The proposed hybrid public building will combine artistic production, education, research, academic and institutional events and public gathering spaces. The corrected site area is 2,248.25 square metres, with a maximum construction limit of 8,993 square metres. First prize is R$80,000 plus the contract for executive architectural and complementary designs; second and third prizes are R$40,000 and R$20,000.
Status and timeline
Registration is open through October 6, 2026. Proposals are due October 21. Jury sessions run October 28–November 2, with a preliminary result from November 4 and final result and ratification from November 21.
