About this story
Developed for Spanish public-housing entity Casa 47, Sa Casa comprises approximately 190 apartments in four residential volumes around an open communal green space. Modular layouts are designed to be reconfigured for young residents, families and people with reduced mobility, while the overall arrangement creates courtyards, paths and a central public square. A prefabricated cross-laminated-timber structure is intended to reduce construction time, waste and neighborhood disruption. Environmental measures include cross ventilation, solar orientation, green roofs, photovoltaics, rainwater harvesting, greywater reuse and native Mediterranean planting.
Status and timeline
Officially listed as an ongoing 2025–present project. A construction and completion schedule has not been published.
