About this story
The 180-square-metre gallery is described as the first open-air contemporary-art gallery in Los Cabos. It is set four metres below street level at the coastal edge of Ánima Village. Visitors descend a 17-metre gently sloped ramp into a space enclosed by pigmented, bush-hammered concrete walls rising more than five metres. The opening installation is by Abraham Cruzvillegas, placing large-scale art in direct dialogue with wind, sun, sky and the rocky Baja landscape.
Status and timeline
Arte Abierto Baja is complete and open. The official project was published August 25, 2026 and lists a 2025 project status. Public visiting information lists Tuesday through Sunday hours and free admission.
