Skovsporet is a 1,650-square-meter student village designed by SAGA Space Architects with 36 ground-level apartments organized as six clusters of six homes. Full-scale structural elements were translated directly from digital models using large-format 3D concrete printing. Most printed construction uses D.fab concrete containing FUTURECEM. The bicycle shed tests cement-free MEVOcem elements reported by the project team to reduce carbon emissions by 84 percent compared with traditional concrete.

Design highlights

Clustered buildings create graduated zones of private, neighborly and communal space. Print beds were positioned to retain 95 percent of the site’s large trees; shifted façades create private outdoor areas, while planted drainage beds address heavy rainfall. Corner units reduce their footprints and gain lofts beneath pitched roofs.
