Battersea Power Station Development Company has submitted Studio Egret West’s revised masterplan for the remaining 16 acres of the 42-acre riverside regeneration site. The proposal evolves Rafael Viñoly’s original framework by dividing later phases into clusters of smaller buildings and introducing additional streets, lanes, courtyards and pedestrian routes. It provides for up to 3.2 million square feet of residential, commercial, cultural and leisure uses and strengthens landscape connections toward Nine Elms Park while preserving views of the Grade II*-listed power station. Phase 5A will deliver 200 council homes in partnership with Wandsworth Council.
Status and timeline
Revised masterplan application submitted September 14, 2026. The remaining phases could deliver up to 3.2 million square feet. Phase 5A already has detailed permission for 200 council homes; the wider application awaits planning determination.
