About this story
Pine House is a summer residence positioned on a north-facing slope in sparse woodland that was formerly pasture. Developed closely with its clients, the building emphasizes an exposed timber structure, legible assembly, natural materials and handmade details intended to echo the changing textures and filtered light of the surrounding forest.
Status and timeline
Completed in 2024 and newly published internationally in September 2026.
Design highlights
Visible mass-timber construction, tactile material honesty, strong indoor-outdoor relationships and a plan organized toward multiple landscape orientations and daily rituals.
