GES Desarrollos’ inaugural arts prize invites artists throughout Argentina to propose an original permanent, site-specific work for the central hall of Palacio Molina. The property is an adaptive-reuse development occupying the historic former Alpargatas factory. The competition is framed around dialogue among contemporary art, architecture and industrial heritage.
Status and timeline
Applications close August 30, 2026. Three finalists will each receive USD 1,000 to develop detailed technical proposals, which will be exhibited during Casa FOA 2026. The selected artist or team will receive a USD 7,000 acquisition prize.
Design highlights
Permanent site-specific art within an industrial-heritage conversion; use of a central circulation hall as the interface between contemporary intervention and retained historic fabric.
