About this story
Twenty-five years after the Quadracci Pavilion transformed the Milwaukee lakefront, the Milwaukee Art Museum is opening a rotunda installation tracing the building from its initial architectural vision through its development as a civic landmark. The broader Built to Inspire program is intended to examine the architecture through the people, memories and public experiences that continue to shape its role in the city.
Status and timeline
Built to Inspire: The Quadracci Pavilion at 25 opens August 27, 2026, in the museum rotunda and anchors a yearlong anniversary celebration.
