About this story
Architect and curator Brenda Fernández will lead a free talk and gallery visit through Charles & Ray Eames: The Uncommon Beauty of Common Things on September 9. The exhibition is the first monographic presentation in Mexico dedicated to Charles and Ray Eames and includes 212 works: 152 photographs, 26 design objects, 21 archival materials, and 13 videos. Organized in eight thematic sections, it moves beyond furniture to examine the Eameses as producers of visual culture working across industrial and artisanal processes, film, photography, education, play, and systems of knowledge. Visitors can use Eames-designed furniture while viewing films in the galleries.
Status and timeline
The exhibition opened June 5, 2026, and continues through February 7, 2027. The free curator talk and gallery tour takes place September 9, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
