The Modular Bedroom is an eight-piece collection designed and manufactured by East London plywood furniture studio Lozi. It adapts founder Soroush Pourhashemi’s experience with bespoke small-space cabinetry into configurable, made-to-order components intended to reduce the design cost and lead time associated with fully custom joinery. The system comprises three combinable wardrobe formats—a double-door unit, single-door unit and curved end unit—a fold-down Murphy bed with optional bedside storage cabinets, a fold-down desk that can stand alone or adjoin the fitted units, a six-drawer chest incorporating a vanity and mirror, and an updated version of Lozi’s curved freestanding bed frame with base storage and optional headboard and bedside tables. Pieces use Lozi’s rounded plywood forms and are offered in maple, oak, cherry and walnut surfaces. Official materials list starting prices of £1,100, with individual starting prices ranging from £1,100 for the single wardrobe and desk to £3,600 for the Murphy bed. The furniture is fabricated at Lozi’s Hackney Road Work/Shop. Customers are expected to select standardized configurations and finishes online or in the showroom, after which Lozi will make, deliver and install the furniture. The launch installation addresses bedrooms that must support sleeping, working, storage and hobbies within limited floor area.
Status and timeline
Dezeen publicly reported the collection on September 10, 2026. Lozi’s press materials retain an embargo until September 15 at 00:01 BST, with the official unveiling, press preview and launch party scheduled that day. The installation is open September 15–20 during London Design Festival and Shoreditch Design Week. Lozi says the pieces will be made to order and available through its showroom and website, although a live collection product page was not located during verification.
