Villa Rosa, Pilar, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina
About this story
Los Tigres is a 187-square-metre country house in Villa Rosa, Pilar, on a property beside the Luján River. Prim Estudio’s project page identifies it as a 2022 house. The selected Dezeen report describes a low-slung white house raised on a rough-hewn stone base, with load-bearing aerated-concrete block walls, red-toned timber window frames, insulation panels and a corrugated zinc roof. An inset balcony sits within the asymmetrical roofline. The plan is organized along an east–west axis; the studio extended the southern wall as a windbreak. A large segmental-arch window, smaller porthole windows, a loft and a north-facing terrace establish views toward the surrounding plain. The house includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms and covered patios, including an open-air area that also serves as a garage and barbecue space. The article credits Julián Puyal with project design and construction management; Agustina Rodrigañez Riccieri and Clara Encabo with furniture and lighting; Flaminio Ortega as main contractor; Richie Fillipello with carpentry; Ing. Martin Invernisi as structural engineer; Ing. Bruno Piazza with land surveying; Ing. Javier Amor as electrical consultant; Ignacio Fabi with renderings; and Javier Agustin Rojas with photography. These detailed credits and technical claims are reported by Dezeen and have not all been independently confirmed on the studio page.

Design highlights
The studio frames the project around a heavy, grounded, stereotomic expression and landscape contemplation. A lowered arch frames the horizon; the raised base responds to the reported seasonal flooding, while the extended south wall addresses wind. An asymmetrical zinc roof incorporates a balcony, and multiple openings and outdoor spaces provide distinct viewing points.
