About this story
Craft x Tech's second London Design Festival edition presents six newly commissioned collaborations connecting Tokai-region artisans working in ceramics, washi, shibori textiles, cloisonné, painted ceramics and kumihimo braiding with David Caon, Lanzavecchia + Wai, Bethan Laura Wood, Philippe Malouin, Eugene Kangawa and Atang Tshikare. The initiative was founded by designer-engineer Hideki Yoshimoto of Tangent and is curated by Maria Cristina Didero. Works range from lighting and furniture to textile and paper-based pieces.
Status and timeline
The V&A lists the free display from September 12–30, 2026, daily from 10:00 to 17:30. Craft x Tech's own announcement lists an extended run through October 18, which requires clarification.
