The Chinati Foundation is advancing restoration of the two historic Artillery Sheds that contain Donald Judd’s 100 untitled works in mill aluminum. The scope includes conservation of the artwork; repairs to roofs, gutters, façades, concrete, masonry, trench drains, and windows; installation of more than 10,000 square feet of energy-efficient glass; rainwater harvesting; rehabilitation of native Chihuahuan Desert grasses; and new accessible pathways. Schaum Architects is serving as design architect, with the Getty Conservation Institute and original fabricator Lippincott involved in conservation work.

The Chinati Foundation states that it is embarking on the restoration. No construction start, closure period, or completion date is publicly listed.
