About this story
HW Studio’s 497-square-meter Casa Malonic is organized as a progression from a guarded street edge to a circular courtyard and finally an open, shaded relationship with the Pacific horizon. A curved concrete wall guides entry and protects the house from the road, while white volumes reference surrounding Cacalosúchil flowers. Sand-toned ground surfaces extend the sensory character of the beach beneath an elemental roof conceived as an enramada-like shelter.
Status and timeline
Completed in June 2026. A project press release and high-resolution image packages were issued in September 2026.

Architecture reduced to ground, roof and shadow; a circular subtractive courtyard; movement from defensive mass to open landscape; sensory continuity with beach sand; white surfaces keyed to local flowering trees; climate protection through deep shade.
