About this story

The tenth Latin American Architecture Biennial invites architects with a professional address in Latin America who will be under 40 on December 31, 2026. Applicants must submit a participation form and Spanish- or Portuguese-language DIN A3 dossier documenting their professional trajectory to the designated delegate for their country. Practices selected for BAL 2025 are ineligible, although participants from earlier editions may apply if they still meet the age requirement.

Status and timeline

Applications are open. Selected participants will be publicly announced November 21, 2026. Publication and exhibition materials are due April 1, 2027, and BAL 2027 is scheduled for September 28 through October 1, 2027.

Design highlights

The call is organized geographically through established architects serving as national or regional delegates, creating a useful map of emerging practices and professional networks across Latin America.
