About this story
The American Society of Landscape Architects announced 35 winners across analysis and planning, communications, general design, research, residential design, urban design and the Landmark Award. The Four Coasts Project, an Auburn University and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineering With Nature collaboration, received the ASLA/IFLA Global Impact Award for nature-based coastal infrastructure research spanning four U.S. regions. Janet Rosenberg & Studio’s Kìwekì Point in Ottawa received the General Design Award of Excellence. Design Workshop’s H2Oquirrh regional water-reform plan received the Analysis and Planning Award of Excellence; Wagner Hodgson’s Datum House received the top residential award; and SCAPE’s Gowanus Lowlands received the Urban Design Award of Excellence. GGN’s Lurie Garden at Millennium Park received the Landmark Award.
Status and timeline
Thirty-five winners were announced August 24, 2026, following review of 468 entries. Recipients will be recognized during the ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture, September 16–18, 2026.
