Conceived as a refuge within the city yet inseparable from it, Ciudadano blurs boundaries.

Ciudadano is not merely an architectural project—it is the embodiment of a way of inhabiting reality. Inspired by the cosmopolitan spirit, it creates a setting where everyone feels they belong, no matter their origin. MAD & Un Medio turns this vision into a symbolic territory: a point abstracted from the map, transcending frontiers to become a shared experience of community. Its architecture dialogues with urban life, creating a warm and cosmopolitan setting that celebrates belonging and shared experiences.

The project’s guiding premise is openness—allowing the city itself to enter the space. This gesture transforms Ciudadano into a stage where public and private coexist. The experience does not remain enclosed; it expands outward, breathing at the rhythm of the surrounding streets. In doing so, Ciudadano establishes itself as a landmark within the urban fabric.

Inside, the design celebrates the city’s richness and diversity. Guests encounter intimate corners for quiet reflection as well as open areas that promote interaction. Each space carries its own character, telling a story that contributes to the whole. This variety ensures dynamism, so that every visit to Ciudadano becomes a different discovery.
