In an industry often marked by deadlines and relentless pressure, Collab Girls reminds us of the beauty of slowing down to connect. The 3rd Designer’s Padel Clinic was not just a tournament but a living proof that design thrives when relationships flourish—on and off the court.
Collab Girls was born from the belief that friendship and collaboration are as vital as innovation in design. What started as casual introductions between colleagues has blossomed into a vibrant community that organizes workshops, charitable projects, and memorable experiences. Among its most beloved traditions is the Designer’s Padel Clinic, launched in 2023 as a playful experiment that has since become a yearly classic. The 2025 edition reached new heights: more than 50 designers participated, with some traveling from Orlando—including Dasha Design, YY Home Design, and Claudia Tang Interior Design—to join the celebration. With clinics led by coach Eduardo Montolio and his team, even first-time players felt empowered to step into the game. The program combined professional training, free play, sponsor networking, and a final tournament, culminating in the victory of Glori Vanucci (Metal Design) and Maca Carrera (Maca Interiors).
The beauty of the Designer’s Padel Clinic lies in its balance: playful yet purposeful, intimate yet expansive. By blending sport and networking, the event breaks the mold of traditional industry gatherings, showing that design professionals can find common ground not only in boardrooms or showrooms, but also on the court.
It also signals a broader shift in how creative communities are redefining themselves. Today, success in design is no longer measured only in projects delivered but also in networks nurtured and legacies of collaboration built. Collab Girls is at the forefront of this shift—its gatherings act as incubators of trust, friendship, and shared growth.
The event’s success would not have been possible without its sponsors, whose presence underscored the unity of the design industry. House of Fixtures, CITCO, and Lacruz Design Studio stood out with the best corporate image, while Madeval, Sherwin Williams, GROHE, Art Panel, Metal Design, and Sable Storage brought invaluable support. Each one embodied the same values of excellence and connection that define the community.
But what truly set this edition apart was its inclusivity. Many first-time attendees joined the experience, stepping into a space where competition was secondary to laughter, encouragement, and discovery. The court became a level ground where seasoned designers and newcomers alike could meet eye-to-eye.
The atmosphere was electric: the sound of rackets striking, the cheer of teammates, and the natural rhythm of conversation flowing between games. Beyond sport, the event became a sensory canvas—sunlight bouncing off polished courts, textures of sponsor installations, and the vibrant palette of Sherwin Williams framing the day.
As Collab Girls looks to the future, the message is clear: communities thrive not just by working together but by celebrating together. The Designer’s Padel Clinic has become a joyful ritual, weaving bonds that extend far beyond Miami. It is proof that when women in design unite, they generate not only professional impact but also personal strength and cultural resonance.
