Located in the heart of Mar Azul’s lush forest, Casa Fruto del Bosque rises gracefully amid pine trees swayed by the coastal breeze. This contemporary refuge harmonizes the essence of nature and architecture, offering a sanctuary where peace and design coexist effortlessly.

Nestled on the scenic Atlantic coast of Buenos Aires, Casa Fruto del Bosque embodies the natural beauty of Mar Azul. This town is famed for its dense pine forests, where the salty sea breeze gently sweeps through the trees, creating a uniquely tranquil setting. The architects at Barrionuevo Villanueva envisioned the home as more than just a structure; it is a retreat, a refuge, and a seamless dialogue between nature and modern living. The project’s primary objective was to create a space that embraced simplicity and sustainability, guided by three essential principles: a contained budget, quick execution, and minimal maintenance. These practical constraints led to an inventive approach to material selection, ensuring both aesthetic integrity and long-term resilience. Inspired by the exposed brick chalets that dotted the region’s coastline in the 1970s, the architects reinterpreted this vernacular style with a contemporary twist, giving rise to a home that feels both timeless and innovative.

At its core, Casa Fruto del Bosque is conceived as an extension of the surrounding landscape.
