Finding balance between creativity and wellness is key to thriving in both personal and professional life. The Female Padel Clinic showcased how sport can bring us together and rejuvenate the spirit.
In a delightful fusion of sport and creativity, over 30 designers gathered for a day that would be remembered not just for the friendly competition but for the community spirit it fostered. The Female Padel Clinic for Designers, held at the Champions Padel Club in Doral and organized by Blue By Cindy, was a joyful celebration of teamwork, wellness, and creativity. Originally planned to run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the event’s infectious energy carried it well beyond its scheduled time, lasting until almost 2:00 p.m. The enthusiasm in the air was palpable as designers, many of whom were picking up a padel racket for the first time, immersed themselves in the game. Laughter and friendly cheers filled the club as participants discovered the joys of padel—a sport that seamlessly combines agility, focus, and a sense of camaraderie.
The day was more than just an introduction to padel; it was an opportunity for designers to come together outside their professional settings and enjoy an activity that not only engaged them physically but mentally as well. Padel provided the perfect avenue for breaking away from the often-hectic pace of the design world, allowing participants to reset and reconnect in a casual, yet invigorating environment.
As the designers took to the courts, it was evident that the clinic was about much more than competition. It was about creating moments of shared experience, learning, and collaboration. Coach Eduardo Montolio and his team guided beginners, offering tips and encouragement, while friendly matches saw teams coming together in a lighthearted spirit. The casual tournament that capped off the day added just the right amount of excitement, reinforcing the bonds formed on the courts.
The success of the event was a testament to the power of community. Each participant brought their unique energy, contributing to the collective experience that made the day special. Whether they were seasoned athletes or padel novices, every designer embraced the opportunity to try something new, leaning into the game’s challenges while fostering connections with fellow professionals. It was a celebration of creativity in motion—where the focus shifted from the drafting table to the padel court.
Cindy Aviles crafted a perfect balance of sport and networking, showcasing how wellness activities like padel can provide a fresh perspective and contribute to personal and professional growth. The combination of teamwork, skill-building, and physical exercise is a reminder that health and creativity often go hand in hand. It’s not just about what happens in the studio or at a desk; wellness activities such as these are crucial for long-term success and happiness in the design industry.
None of this would have been possible without the generous support of key sponsors. Collab Girls Design Community, D’Cassa, Anima Domus, CITCO, Fence Design, and Leandro Mora Studio all played an instrumental role in bringing the event to life. Their commitment to supporting both the design community and activities that promote wellness was essential to the clinic’s success. Their contributions added an extra layer of enjoyment to the day.
A special acknowledgment goes out to the Champions Padel Club at Doral, whose top-notch facilities and warm hospitality ensured that every participant had an exceptional experience. The venue was the ideal setting for an event that celebrated the intersection of sport, wellness, and community, offering both the space and atmosphere needed to make the day truly memorable.
As the clinic came to a close, it was clear that this was more than just a sporting event. It was a gathering that reminded everyone of the importance of stepping outside the daily grind to engage in activities that refresh the body and mind. By participating in events like these, designers are not only investing in their health but also deepening relationships within their professional community. The Female Padel Clinic has set the stage for more events where passion, creativity, and well-being come together harmoniously.
With gratitude to every participant and sponsor, we look forward to many more moments like these—where designers unite both on and off the court.
