A Harmonious Design Narrative – Durrette House by Prebisch Homes

The bar area in Durrette House embodies a more dramatic, contemporary tone. Utilizing the Neo collection in matte boreal lacquer, the design introduces a dark and moody sophistication to the space. Here, handles have been incorporated in such a way that they blend seamlessly with the appliances, maintaining a cohesive, uninterrupted visual flow.

The result is a space that feels modern and refined, yet distinctly intimate – perfect for enjoying a quiet evening or hosting guests in style. This deliberate design choice contrasts with the lighter tones of the kitchen, providing a distinct, yet complementary, atmosphere. Throughout the home, the material palette reflects the perfect marriage between form and function. The use of white glossy lacquer creates a fresh, bright base that enhances the sense of openness in the larger living areas. Meanwhile, vertical grain Gales melamine adds a touch of texture, providing a subtle yet effective contrast against the smooth surfaces. The aluminum profile, used sparingly, lends a sleek industrial edge to the overall design, ensuring that the modern aesthetic is not only beautiful but also durable.

The entryway of Durrette House serves as more than just a passage between the side entrance and the garage. This transitional space has been designed with both beauty and practicality in mind. The use of Revere melamine with vertical grain introduces a natural texture that aligns with the home’s modern yet warm aesthetic. Paired with matte gray melamine, the entryway’s walls offer a wealth of built-in storage, with tall shelves that provide ample space for everyday necessities. On the opposite side, a functional wall integrates a bench, shoe rack, wall hooks, and a desk, allowing the space to serve as a convenient drop zone for shoes, bags, and outerwear, without sacrificing style.

Located on the top floor, the TV/game room is where the family comes together daily, and as such, it was designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. To maintain continuity with the rest of the house, the same design principles used in the bathroom were applied here. Suspended shelves from the Eleganza line, finished in Rovere melamine, provide storage while maintaining a light, airy feel. This design choice creates a modern, uncluttered atmosphere, where the family can unwind together in a space that feels as stylish as it is comfortable.

In the main bathroom, the modern aesthetic is underscored by the use of suspended shelves from the Henzo line, finished with Rovere melamine in a vertical grain pattern. The addition of a stainless-steel profile enhances the sleek, clean look of the space, making it feel both luxurious and functional.

In the secondary bathrooms, light gray melamine introduces a softer, more subdued tone. Black grab handles, selected to match the plumbing, add a subtle yet effective contrast, creating a cohesive look that ties these spaces together without overwhelming the senses. The design strikes the perfect balance between practicality and elegance, ensuring that each bathroom is not only beautiful but also easy to maintain.
