A Functional Design – Armani 3400 by FL Interiors
The client envisioned a sophisticated, relaxing, and minimalist apartment that exuded the serenity of a spa retreat. As a vacation home, the space needed to feel calming and rejuvenating, while also accommodating entertainment and relaxation. To achieve this, FL Interiors incorporated tone-on-tone finishes and a soothing color palette that promotes a sense of calmness and tranquility.
This project seamlessly blends sophistication and luxury with a connection to nature, creating a perfect space to enjoy life with an everyday ocean view. Natural elements such as wood veneer add warmth and texture with organic grain patterns, while marble introduces a touch of luxury and elegance through its veining. The use of matte lacquer provides a sleek, understated finish that complements the other materials, striking a balance between warmth and sophistication.

The purpose and function of the interior design were heavily influenced by the client's desire to create a welcoming second home for vacationing and enjoying family gatherings in Miami. In this minimalist and sophisticated project, several interior design elements stand out.The choice of ample and curved furniture in the living room, such as the two facing sofas, creates a cozy and social atmosphere ideal for entertaining guests. Custom carpentry plays a key role in the project, with key pieces like the TV cabinet, bar, and headboard designed to be both functional and aesthetically pleasing. These elements not only complement the minimalist style but also add a touch of sophistication and elegance. The color palette and materials used, such as wood, metal, and glass, contribute to creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a second home. The attention to detail and the choice of design elements that balance functionality with aesthetics make this project an example of minimalist and sophisticated design.

Several innovations significantly enhanced the overall quality and functionality of this project. The millwork design cleverly disguised bedroom doors, creating a sense of continuity and flow. Additional functionality and storage were incorporated in various areas, such as seamlessly integrating the TV into the living room millwork. Space optimization techniques were applied to create a sense of openness and flow, maximizing the available square footage.

The client, based in New York, conducted 80% of the project via conferences, video calls, and emails. FL Interiors developed a system that worked efficiently for both parties.
